About Carolyn Quinn
CAROLYN QUINN, currently of New York City, grew up singing show tunes in Roselle and Scotch Plains, New Jersey, a member of an outrageous and rollicking extended family. She looks for intriguing light, shapes, colors and angles when taking a photograph and comes up with some rather original compositions, as a result. Carolyn is also a writer and historical and theatrical researcher. Her first book, "MAMA ROSE'S TURN: The True Story of America's Most Notorious Stage Mother," a full biography of Gypsy Rose Lee's mother Rose Hovick whose colorful parenting style inspired the Broadway musical GYPSY, will be published in Autumn 2013 by University Press of Mississippi. Carolyn had as fabulous a time researching Rose as she does taking photographs!
